Feb 23, 2010: ISOC Yearly Day Workshop: Virtual Worlds, for the Newbi and Pro

As part of the Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) yearly conference we will host (again:-) a workshop re virtual worlds. This is a packed event that is aimed at both NEW people and Pros (who will help the new people). See this video as a sample:

9:00-10:00	Preparing computers for entry into the Virtual World
10:00-10:45	Entering the Virtual World
10:45-11:00	Coffee Break
11:00-11:45	A Case in Point: rules of the world of "Second Life"
11:45-12:30	Entering the World: a practical exercise
12:30-13:30	Lunch break

the second part is a "Bazzar" of ideas and directions:

13:30-17:00 Getting down to business – a Happening for getting acquainted with products, ideas, and experiences in the Virtual World. This is an opportunity to meet product manufacturers and service suppliers in an atmosphere of a real Happening in the Virtual World.

• The afternoon session will be conducted on computers. It is recommended that you bring a personal computer.
• The number of participants is limited.

NOTE: We will have about 20 computers in place -- bring your own comptuer. This year we have worked with Linden Labs to allow accounts to be open on the spot. So the account you open will be yours for LIFE!
